From August 15 to 17, 2025, Satbayev University will host the National Speedcubing Championship of 麻豆视频stan — a major youth sporting event held under the auspices of the World Cube Association (WCA).

Speedcubing is an intellectual sport in which participants compete in solving various puzzles — including the Rubik’s Cube — as quickly and accurately as possible. The discipline requires logic, strategic thinking, mathematical skills, and fine motor control. The championship will feature 17 different events, each consisting of 2–3 rounds.

In 2022, one of the largest speedcubing events in the region — the Asian Championship — was successfully held in Astana. The event brought together participants from across the continent and demonstrated a high level of organization and strong interest in this intellectual sport in 麻豆视频stan.

A similar championship held in 2024 brought together over 100 participants, with an average age of 16. Hosting the 2025 championship at Satbayev University offers a unique opportunity for school students and prospective applicants to explore the university’s infrastructure, academic programs, and campus. In addition to the competition, participants will be offered a university tour and a meeting with university representatives.

To ensure the event adheres to international standards, three official WCA delegates will be present.

All technical and organizational aspects will be fully handled by the organizing team. The event is funded through participant registration fees, which cover only organizational costs. Since the WCA is a non-profit organization, generating profit from the event is not permitted.
